BARANGAY Ginebra could be facing very familiar foes in the quarterfinals of the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup.
Following Saturday's results, two of the possible three teams that Barangay Ginebra could be battling in the quarterfinals are Magnolia and TNT in what is expected to be a blockbuster match-up if it becomes a reality.
Magnolia and TNT will have games against separate opponents to close the eliminations with the Hotshots facing Meralco in the first game at 5:15 p.m.
The Gins, of course, have a storied rivalry with the Hotshots which is being dubbed as the ‘Manila Clasico.’

Barangay Ginebra, meanwhile, met TNT twice in last season's finals with the Gin Kings losing to the Tropang 5G on both occasions.
Coincidentally, Barangay Ginebra will face TNT on Sunday at 7:30 p.m., and could be going up against each other again come the quarterfinals.
That will happen if TNT beats Barangay Ginebra, and Meralco defeats Magnolia in the first game on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
But percentage-wise, a Manila Clasico quarterfinals have the higher chance.
The Ginebra-Magnolia clash will be arranged if one of these two happen.
- Meralco win, Barangay Ginebra win
- Magnolia win, TNT win
Meantime, Phoenix Super LPG is the other possible opponent of Barangay Ginebra. That match-up is settled if Magnolia and Barangay Ginebra win their respective games on Sunday.
